Here are some drawings I did several years ago. First we have Britainy, a sort of savage princess. Done with graphite pencils on plain sketching paper.

Then we have Maizie, loosely based on a magazine cover I saw once.

This is Dixie, a teenage girl. I realize there's something wrong with her eyes, they're sort of looking different directions, but I really love how pretty she looks.

This is Sapphire, a character I created for an online role-playing game several years ago.

Here we have a watercolor pencil drawing of a ship lost at sea during a storm. I actually did three versions of this, in my attempts to get it right. The first one, I loved the waves and the boat, they were very loose and fresh, but the clouds looked like dark purple blobs. So I looked at some reference photos of storm clouds and tried again. The clouds looked great, but the waves looked too contrived, too stiff and unnatural. So I tried one last time. I combined the water from the first painting with the clouds from the second, and this is the result:

And finally, we have one of my first attempts at an abstract, done with watercolor pencils. I don't like how the background is streaky, but I love the colors, and I especially like the flaming sun or flower or whatever it is inside the yellow triangle.
